Ruby W Tam, DO
Dr. Tam is a board certified family-medicine doctor. She graduated from Des Moines University Osteopathic School of Medicine in 2009, and completed a family-medicine residency at University of Minnesota, Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in 2012.
Since 2012, Dr. Tam had been practicing full-spectrum family medicine. She came across the first chronic fatigue patient in 2015. Since then, Dr. Tam has been reading and learning about the disease. Dr. Lucinda Bateman has graciously provided support and answered questions that arose over the years. Starting 2023, Dr. Tam wants to devote the rest of her life and career to patients with ME/CFS.
"Patients suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome have been dismissed, under-represented, mistreated and ignored by the current medical system. Despite what have happened to them, they are the most resilient, grateful and optimistic people I have encountered. I hope to contribute what I know to help them restore a part of their lives back."
