Food insecurity is commonly experienced by people living with moderate to severe ME/CFS and Long COVID because preparing food, loading and unloading the dishwasher, or even opening the refrigerator door exhaust them. Some do not have any support from friends and families.  Furthermore, their medical insurance may not always cover medical rides and home-health assistants.  Consequently, many resort to eating processed food, cold cereals, or TV dinners, all the time lacking the vital nutrients for their health.

 

MECFS Clinic MN has started a series of fundraising events for our food-insecurity initiative hoping to raise awareness of this issue and funds for the most despairing patients to obtain home-health assistance.  Below are merchandise items designed Pro Bono by people with disabilities or feeling strongly about the cause.  100% of the proceeds are used to fund the initiative.
